Where is Cayton Homeroom?

The Cayton Children’s Museum is at Santa Monica Place: 395 Santa Monica Place Santa Monica, CA 90401. The museum is on the third level of the mall next to the movie theater. Classes occur in a few of our multipurpose rooms, when you check-in at the front desk you will be updated about the room assignment.

 

Where can I park for Cayton Homeroom?

Parking is available in the City of Santa Monica’s Parking Structure 7 and Structure 8, immediately adjacent to Santa Monica Place. Structure 7 is located on Broadway, just west of 4th St. while Structure 8 is located on Colorado, just east of 2nd St. These lots are first come, first served. We do not guarantee parking nor do we validate.

The first 90 minutes are free. $2.00 for the next hour and between $2.00-3.00 for each additional 30 minutes. $20.00 daily maximum on weekdays.

Where is Cayton-on-the-go?

Cayton-on-the-Go is off-site at So Fly Kids Academy of Dance | 12751 W. Millenium Dr, Ste. 115 | Playa Vista, CA 90094.

 

How much do classes cost?

A registration is $200 for a 6-week session. Drop-In price is $45 for a single class. Enrollment in an entire class series guarantees your child's spot in class each week. We do not offer refunds for class series registration. Registration cannot be transferred to other individuals.

 

I’m a member, how do I get my discount?

You will have had a discount code emailed to you when registration opens. Just enter that code at checkout! If you are having trouble locating that code in your email, please reach out to membership coordinator at membership@caytonmuseum.org.

 

Who can come to classes?

All classes require ONE child to be accompanied by ONE adult, unless indicated as a DROP-OFF class. Classes are limited in size to ensure quality instruction and individual attention. Classes cannot exceed capacity due to fire code safety and quality of classroom experience. Families who wish to bring additional guests or younger siblings (in baby carriers) to a class must email education@caytonmuseum.org in advance to see if there is space available. Siblings that are of age and or able to participate in a class must be either registered for the class or a drop-in fee must be paid.

 

What is your cancellation policy?

There are no refunds or make-ups for missed classes.

What if I would like to drop-in?

Drop-ins are welcome if space is available on the day of class. You can check-in at the front desk or email education@caytonmuseum.org to verify space availability. If a class is full to capacity, drop-ins will not be accepted. Drop-in fees can be applied towards series registration within the first 2 weeks of a session.

 

Do I have to pay museum admission if I’m coming to cayton homeroom?

Museum admission for 1 child and 1 adult is included in the cost of both series registration and drop-in registration for Cayton Homeroom. You and your little one will be able to play in the museum for the 2 hours immediately after class ends.

 

Can I bring toys or snacks into class?

Toys, snacks, and drinks are not permitted in class. Water is allowed.

Who are the teaching artists?

You can refer to our calendar to see who is teaching each class.

 

Is the class messy, should I bring extra clothes?

We provide aprons and smocks when applicable. However, you’re more than welcome to bring an extra set of clothes for your kiddo!
