A Night of Play,
Community
& Imagination

On November 11, Cayton Children’s Museum hosted its annual Playmakers Gala, transforming the museum into a vibrant celebration space for the first time.

Centered on our shared Vision for the Future of Play, the evening brought our community together around imagination, creativity, and the belief that every child deserves a place to play, learn, and belong. Guests explored playful tastings, interactive installations, and signature experiences that brought the spirit of the Cayton to life throughout the museum.

We were proud to honor Beatrice Springborn (NBCUniversal / UIS) and Tiffany & Teddy Fong (Million Dollar Baby Co.), whose leadership and commitment to children and families reflect the heart of our mission. Guided with warmth and energy by host Darren Haynes, the night carried an atmosphere of joy, connection, and celebration.

The success of the Gala helps pave the way for the next chapter of our Vision for the Future of Play—upgrading beloved exhibits, introducing new hands-on environments, and establishing a Special Exhibits Wing for rotating traveling shows. It also fuels expanded public programs, arts and theater workshops, free field trips for Title I schools, and a fleet of mobile museum vehicles bringing play directly to neighborhoods across Los Angeles. At the heart of this vision is PLAY4ALL, our accessibility initiative providing subsidized memberships for families facing financial hardship, ensuring every child has access to the power of play.

Our Impact — Thanks to You

Because of the generosity and belief of our community, the Gala raised over $425,000 to power the next chapter of our Vision for the Future of Play—fueling upgraded exhibits, expanded programming, deeper community partnerships, and greater access for all families through PLAY4ALL.
