OH MY GOURD, IT'S HOWL-O-WEEN!

Calling all ghouls, little monsters, witches, fairies, and superheroes! Join us for a howling good time on a spook-tacular day of family-friendly activities on Saturday, October 28.

 

From creating animal masks and viewing
a mesmerizing display of magical tricks to slimy sensory bins, a spooky maze, costume parades and more, we'll be celebrating the season with ghostly abandon.

Animal Mask Workshop with Cardboard City

10–11AM

Get ready for a howlin' good time with spectacular animal masks! Transform into pups and wolves with elaborate 3D masks from our friends at Cardboard City. Strut your stuff around the museum with this paw-some keepsake!

Art Studios I & II

In Art Studio I, craft your own treat bags and let your creative juices flow with a collaborative pumpkin painting! But that's not all – visit Art Studio II for a slime-y sensory adventure! Explore sensory experiences guided by a Wolf, Frankenstein, and a gigantic pumpkin! Bug out with creepy, crawl-y sensory bins teeming with squishy insect friends. 

Mr. Funn the Magician

11AM–12PM

Derfner Theater

Experience the enchantment of Mr. Funn the Magician as he dazzles you with his mesmerizing tricks and treats.  With a passion spanning over 25 years, he has been dedicated to bringing magic, happiness, and laughter to families. Join us for an interactive magic and balloon show hosted by the sensational Mr. Funn!

Monster Puppets

4–5PM

Derfner Theater

Get ready for a monstrously fun activity and assemble creature puppets, just like Frankenstein. Bring your imagination to life by crafting creature puppets using paper, fabric, and string! 

Spooky Maze

4–5PM

Blue Room

Dare to crawl your way through a spine-tingling, glow-in-the-dark cardboard maze filled with friendly spiders and tactile sensory surprises.
